Spring Swim Sessions

Gentle, intentional water experiences for babies & toddlers

Our spring swim sessions are designed to support your child’s relationship with water in a way that feels safe, connected, and developmentally supportive.

We move slowly. We listen deeply. We follow your child’s cues.
This is not about forcing skills — it’s about building trust, confidence, and comfort that lasts.

Registration Opens: March 1

Why We Do Not Offer Once-a-Week Lessons

Swimming is not like other activities.
It is a life-saving skill.

It asks the nervous system to feel safe in a completely new environment.

When lessons happen only once a week, the first few weeks often feel like starting over each time:

  • Little bodies forget

  • Regulation resets

  • We rebuild instead of build forward

When we meet more consistently:

  • Muscle memory forms

  • Confidence builds

  • Fear softens

  • Real skill develops

Because teaching time is limited and consistency matters, we cannot offer one-day-per-week options.

Scholarships & Financial Support

I am currently writing and applying for grants so I can offer more scholarships.

At this time:

  • Scholarship spots are filled.

  • If finances are a barrier, please reach out.

If you need a payment plan, please email us before registering so we can arrange it in advance.

Community Trade Opportunities

I deeply believe in community exchange. At this time, we have:

2 trade spots open

We are currently accepting trade in:

  • Massage

  • Housekeeping support

If this feels aligned, please email with the subject line: “TRADE”

We will begin a conversation from there.

What Makes Held In Waters Different?

At Held In Water, we believe that how a child first experiences water matters.

Our approach is rooted in:

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Trauma-aware teaching

  • Developmentally appropriate pacing

  • Deep respect for each child’s emotional experience

We prioritize relationship before skills, knowing that safety, trust, and connection naturally lead to confident movement and learning.

This is a space where:

✨ Crying is information
✨ Pauses are welcome
✨ Every child moves at their own pace
✨ Parents feel supported, not rushed

What to Bring

  • Swimsuit & towel

  • Change of clothes

  • Reusable swim diaper (required if under 3) - available for purchase at pool
